This is a permanent procedure on your face. Please take time to read through the following:
Please know that in order to receive permanent makeup, clients should be absolutely healthy. Be honest about your health conditions and do not exclude any details as this will greatly affect the procedure, healing, and final results. To be eligible for permanent makeup, clients cannot:
Refrain from any type of facial surgery for at least one year before booking an appointment. Any type of skin rash or abnormality (such as a sunburn) needs to be cleared. We will not be able to tattoo over any blemishes, sores or moles in or around the brow area.
In addition to meeting the eligible candidate criteria, clients are also asked to avoid the following prior to their scheduled visit:
If you are susceptible to cold sores and are booking for a lip blushing service, please see your doctor for an antiviral prescription to start taking before the appointment. Alternatively, you may start taking an OTC Lysine supplement if your doctor says it is safe to do so.
It is best to avoid booking an appointment around the time of your menstrual cycle as it may increase pain sensitivity.
Just like any cosmetic procedure, the full healing process can take much longer than the initial healing process. It can take up to 8 weeks to see the true results.
The first 2 weeks (14 days) are crucial for the healing process and 90% of your result will depend on how well you look after them.
For 7-14 days after, absolutely NO water, sweat, makeup, or any product should go on/around the brows (other than when washing) - the brows need to be kept dry. You must clean your face and remove your makeup with make up wipes or a wet face cloth.
After 24 hours, clients are asked to gently wash their new brows with a mild soap and warm water, pat dry, then apply a THIN layer of ointment (twice daily, morning and night). The brows should never be soaking or wet for longer than 30 seconds.
Keep a towel close by when showering to pat dry if they get wet and do not let the shower spray directly onto the face.
After 4-7 days, exfoliation will take place. The top layer of the scabbed skin will peel off, leaving a softer, lighter colour below. After this process is completed, you can return back to your normal washing routine. DO NOT pick or scratch the scabs, allow them to exfoliate naturally - picking will cause scarring and poor retention.
If you are not committed to this healing period, this procedure is most likely not suited for you.
